Bahamas will be represented by Carol Roach, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology in the Ministerial Meeting of Electronic Government of Latin America and the Caribbean and the Annual Meeting of Red Gealc.
Carol’s predominant modes of operation are “give a hand” and “expand and enhance”. As an active member in church community and a dedicated civil servant for over 20 years, she has been able to indulge both modes changing the lives of individuals and her country.
A true “aquafile”, she loves swimming, collecting shells and rocks (sea, river, lake). Carol is an avid “people watcher” and scrabble player. She is the proud mother of one daughter and the youngest of the “4 Roach Girls”.
Carol completed her under-graduate studies at the University of The West Indies, Cavehill, Barbados (BSc Computer Science) and her post-graduate at Pace University, New York City, USA (MSc Internet Technology and e-Commerce). Her Public Service career has been in Project Management and Business Analysis, with emphasis on electronic government.
